Terms of Service
Welcome to bidly.lol. By submitting a website, placing a bid, browsing our leaderboard, or using any features of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Platform Overview & Service Description
bidly.lol is an open, dynamic discovery leaderboard and pay-to-rank platform designed for startups, software tools, apps, and indie makers. Founders list their product URLs and compete for rank position and visibility through an open, transparent USD bidding mechanism.
2. Bidding & Ranking Rules
- Currency: All bids are processed and tracked in United States Dollars (USD - $).
- Minimum Bid: The minimum initial bid to list a project is $1 USD.
- Rank Determination: Rankings are strictly determined by the total cumulative USD bid amount of each listing. The highest bid occupies the #1 rank.
- Tie-Breaking Rule: If two listings have the identical cumulative bid amount, the listing whose qualifying bid was confirmed earlier holds priority.
- Incremental Outbidding: You may outbid competitors at any time by paying only the difference between your current bid and your new target bid.
- No Rank Guarantee: Placing a bid secures your ranking only at the time of transaction. As an open auction, any other user can outbid you at any moment by placing a higher bid.
3. Strict No Refund Policy
⚠️ Important: Strict No Refund Policy
All bids, listing fees, and incremental outbid payments are 100% non-refundable once confirmed. By submitting payment, you expressly acknowledge that digital visibility and leaderboard placement are delivered immediately upon successful transaction completion.
Please note the following refund policy details:
- Immediate Execution: Ranking updates, metadata extraction, and leaderboard positioning happen instantaneously upon payment verification. Because the digital service is fully rendered immediately, refunds cannot be issued.
- Loss of Rank / Outbidding: Being outbid by another founder or losing your #1 or top spot is a fundamental part of the competitive leaderboard mechanic and does not qualify for a refund or chargeback.
- Listing Self-Deactivation or Edits: If you choose to hide, edit, or remove your listing through your management panel or via support, past bids will not be refunded.
- Policy Violations: Listings removed or suppressed due to violation of our Content Guidelines (Section 4) are forfeit and strictly non-refundable.
4. Listing Eligibility & Content Guidelines
To maintain quality and safety for our visitors, all submitted websites and links must comply with the following standards:
- You must provide a valid, accessible
http://orhttps://URL pointing to an active website, app store listing, GitHub repository, or product page. - URL Shorteners: Generic redirectors or obfuscated short links (e.g., bit.ly, tinyurl) are prohibited.
- Prohibited Content: We strictly prohibit websites containing or promoting:
- Malware, spyware, phishing, or deceptive software
- Adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content
- Illegal drugs, weapons, or illicit goods/services
- Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or violence
- Cryptocurrency scams, ponzi schemes, or deceptive financial schemes
- Right of Removal: bidly.lol reserves the right to review, reject, modify, or permanently remove any listing that violates these guidelines or harms the integrity of the platform without prior notice and without refund.
5. Listing Management & HMAC Token Security
bidly.lol does not require passwords or user account creation. Listing administration is managed via a private, cryptographically secure HMAC management link generated at checkout:
- Founders are solely responsible for saving and maintaining the secrecy of their private management URL.
- Any actions performed through the management token link (such as title/description edits, category changes, or URL updates) are deemed to be authorized by the listing owner.
- If you lose access to your management link, you may contact support from the verified owner email address provided during checkout to request a token re-send.
6. Outbound Redirection & Click Tracking
Visitor clicks on leaderboard items route through our redirect gateway (/go/[id]) to record outbound traffic sent to founders. We employ automated rate limiting and bot filtering heuristics to prevent artificial click inflation.
bidly.lol makes no guarantees regarding the conversion rate, visitor engagement, sales, or customer acquisition resulting from traffic routed to your website.
7. Payment Processing & Merchant of Record
Payments on bidly.lol are processed securely through Polar.sh (acting as the Merchant of Record). We do not collect, process, or store sensitive credit card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.
8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
In no event shall bidly.lol, its creator, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service. In all circumstances, our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to bidly.lol in the thirty (30) days preceding the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
